Great Week for Christ

Gonna be a great day I am sure. Lots of people at the marriage conference in Florence hope they are having as much fun as we did last year. Brother Robin is going to lead worship this morning, I am sure he will do an awesome job. He has a awesome heart for God. Connect should be great tonight, man some of my favorite worship songs tonight: Healer (Hillsong), What Do I Know of Holy (Addison Road), Marvelous Light (Charlie Hall), Mighty to Save (Hillsong), How Great is Our God (Chris Tomlin). Gonna be a great day for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I know.

Been a really awesome week already, I can’t wait to see what today brings. I gave my testimony Wednesday night at Souled Out. First time I had ever really done that. Really tough for me to talk about losing my dad and the trials that I went through, but someone got saved. God is so good!

Great Sunday at Bethel

Man we had a great Sunday at Bethel!  Sunday morning we had a successful Relay for Life lunch.  We fed a couple hundred people some good food and raised money for a great cause.  Sunday night we had a awesome Connect service.  We are still together in the main sanctuary, and it was much better this week.  We play some great worship songs, and everyone was much more involved this week.  Man it makes it so much easier to play when the audience looks like they are enjoying what you are doing.  Bro. Tracy preached a great sermon on “Missions”.  He lays it out there for you and doesn’t care if you like what he is saying or not.  Man I am pumped about worship this week.  Can’t wait for Souled Out Wednesday night.  I really have a heart for the teens at our church.  They come from all walks of life, and I love them all.  I hate to think of one of them leaving out on Wednesday night and not knowing Jesus, but I know that happens.  Tracy is going through a great series in Souled Out right now on “what a Christian looks like”.  Powerful stuff.

In need of a Music Minister/Worship Leader and random thoughts

We found out this past Sunday that our current Choir Director was stepping down. From what I understand he was just burned out, he’d been volunteering for the position for several years and just couldn’t keep doing it. Our church has been searching for a Music Minister/Worship Leader for a full time position for some time but we haven’t found anyone yet. Brother Andy stepping down this past Sunday should definitely put a fire under the search committee to find someone. We are a growing church with 385-450 for Sunday mornings, and we need someone that can do a traditional service or contemporary service or even a blended service. Can’t seem to please everyone……

Anyhow, if you know of someone looking for a good church to grow, we need someone. I am not on the search committee but they can send resumes to the church directly, Bethel Baptist Church.  We are really blessed at Bethel to have two great pastors on staff, we have both teen and adult praise bands already.  I really believe with the right person leading worship we could easily have over 500 for our Sunday morning services.

Random Thoughts

Our Connect service has just really been awesome lately.  Man I really hate the weeks that we don’t have it, this being one.   Tracy has done a great job with his messages and the worship has really been good.  Souled Out (Teens on Wednesday) has also been going really good, we haven’t had the biggest crowds over the winter but anytime you can get 75-90 teens to church on a Wednesday night is a great night.  Tracy has turned over the song worship duties to the teens and they have really done a great job.  Jade is really coming into his own singing.  You can hear these guys on our Youtube page.
