Great Sunday at Bethel

Man we had a great Sunday at Bethel!  Sunday morning we had a successful Relay for Life lunch.  We fed a couple hundred people some good food and raised money for a great cause.  Sunday night we had a awesome Connect service.  We are still together in the main sanctuary, and it was much better this week.  We play some great worship songs, and everyone was much more involved this week.  Man it makes it so much easier to play when the audience looks like they are enjoying what you are doing.  Bro. Tracy preached a great sermon on “Missions”.  He lays it out there for you and doesn’t care if you like what he is saying or not.  Man I am pumped about worship this week.  Can’t wait for Souled Out Wednesday night.  I really have a heart for the teens at our church.  They come from all walks of life, and I love them all.  I hate to think of one of them leaving out on Wednesday night and not knowing Jesus, but I know that happens.  Tracy is going through a great series in Souled Out right now on “what a Christian looks like”.  Powerful stuff.

Looking forward to great services today!

Looking forward to some great services today at Bethel.  Connect should be really good tonight, great songs for worship:

  • Not To Us
  • The Power of Your Name (Special)
  • Follow You
  • Lead Me To The Cross
  • How He Loves

Still in the main sanctuary this week, maybe everyone will loosen up a little bit.  Last week was pretty weird.  If you in North Mississippi and need somewhere to go to church check out Bethel.

Pedal Board Pics – Daniel Carson

Thought I would try to start pulling together pictures of various Christian guitarist pedalboards from the net.  Found these pictures of Daniel Carson’s gear at nathanwright.org.  Check out Nathan’s Post on all Daniel’s Gear.

Pocket Full of Rocks New CD Released Early

PFOR’s new CD “More Than Noise” has been released early on iTunes.  Downloading it now, will post more info once I get a listen to it.  If “Alive” is any indication it will be awesome.

Connect in “Big Church”

Well we had our first Connect service in the main sanctuary last night, interesting to say the least. So used to being in the youth building, it was really weird. House lights all the way up, nobody sitting down close, nobody standing. I was wondering if I was even in the right place for a minute. I am really nobody was even sitting on the first 15 or so rows. Weren’t we at church, shouldn’t we be praising, but then I remembered that a lot of these people have the same scowled look on the their face during a traditional service. How depressing! It should be such a joy to worship and praise our Lord and Savior, yet so many don’t see it that way. Two more weeks meeting like this, maybe next week will be different. We played some great songs, Brother Martin brought a very good sermon, at least the Connect group enjoyed it. Might have to turn the volume up on my tubescreamer next week, LOL……

Sunday’s Coming!

Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us tomorrow. Great set list for Connect tomorrow night, and we are going to be together as one church, no split service. Going to be a great night.

  • As It Is In Heaven
  • Faithful
  • How Wonderful
  • Glory to God, Forever
  • Glorious Day!
